Although you’ve never known where I come from or where I’m heading, though my story remains untold and unshared with you—still, I’m grateful that we met in the vibrant years of youth. The words below are left only to be spoken to the unknown you and me…
Two months don’t take up much space in the breadth of life, yet what I’ve gained from them is both depth and perspective. I’ve learned practical work skills from everyday little tasks—skills that may even become my own valuable assets someday. In life, I’ve also discovered how to truly love and cherish myself. Along life’s journey, inevitably, some people will board your train and stop at your station—but sometimes you’ll find yourself wondering: Was it really the right thing to do? Even when it leaves you heartbroken or leads you to cry like a child on the street, feeling hurt and wronged… that’s precisely when you begin to realize this is *your* principle: You’ll never regret *what you’ve done*, but rather feel deeply sorry for anything you’ve left undone. Change is inevitable, but let’s hope we all move forward together—striving toward the better versions of ourselves.
I’m truly grateful to have met and gotten to know you during our youth—learning about your history, retracing the path you’ve walked. Drawing parallels between your growth and the dynamics of a company, I’ve reflected on how businesses operate, while also revisiting my own initial views on entrepreneurship. Behind you stand the visionaries who shaped your journey, as well as society itself—a powerful, ever-evolving crucible. Under the delicate balance of these forces, the relationship between businesses and society, and between individuals and the community, becomes inseparable yet deeply intertwined. Perhaps at times, my own perspective was once narrowly focused, and my heart carried an inexplicable stubbornness. Yet I’ve come to realize that living in the vibrant years of youth means embracing new ideas, questioning my own principles, and ultimately discovering deeper insights—and the very reasons that propel me forward—in my interactions with both myself and the world around me.
I can’t say I truly understand or know you—all I really know is that you aspire to succeed and prove to the world, "I’ve been here." This is the person I recognize: You pay close attention to after-sales support and service for your products, using your own innovations and technology as the key to winning over customers. You’ve used words and artistic expression to explore China’s provinces and cities, helping people across the country become aware of your presence. And through rigorous quality control and continuous product development, you’re steadily expanding your reach. After all, technology has always been the driving force behind a company’s growth and evolution. At the same time, there are three questions I’d like to ponder: First, when it comes to ensuring your products meet market demands, should you stay attuned to what farmers and consumers currently need in terms of product types and applications? Second, in the face of competition from both foreign and domestic companies, how can you carve out an even stronger competitive edge and unique identity to grab a larger slice of the ever-growing market pie? And finally, how can you make the DDC brand name truly household-known—so that it becomes synonymous with Chengdu, and ultimately carries the spirit of China to even farther horizons? These are challenges that, I believe, every local enterprise is grappling with today.
Here, I sincerely hope that on the journey of youthful growth, you and I can both become more truly ourselves. Let’s take steady steps forward, carrying with us a passionately beating Chinese heart as we reach for the horizon. Let’s embrace our unique value, define our rightful place, and carve out our own niche amidst the ever-evolving currents of our times. In return, let’s honor those who have nurtured our creativity and illuminated the path ahead. And finally, may we all remain pure and untainted—rising above life’s challenges while staying true to our authentic selves.
In my youth, I penned down tender words and shared unpolished thoughts—this is how I capture who you and I are right now: raw, unrefined gems still waiting to be shaped. Right now, as I journey around Erhai Lake, the window frames a breathtaking seascape of rolling yellow and green grasses—the very colors of youth and vitality. This is exactly the kind of trip I’d envisioned: filled with the unknown, brimming with challenges, and sprinkled with unexpected encounters along the way. It’s on this path that I’m rediscovering myself once again… Thank you for allowing me to meet you like this, and thank you for stepping into my life—and walking alongside me through it all.
Friend, I’m not rushing for the you of the future—just take your time and cherish this journey we call “youth,” living it fully and authentically. My friend, please take care of yourself! And never forget that I’ve been here, offering my gratitude—and my words. (Written by Jiang Xinhong)
