Dr. Yan Lei, DDC's Director of R&D, has been honored with the title of "Outstanding Science and Technology Worker" by the Chengdu Association of Young Scientists and Engineers.
Recently, the Chengdu Science and Technology Youth Federation held its "2nd Session, 1st Members' Conference" at the Chengdu Association for Science and Technology Hall. During the meeting, members unanimously approved key initiatives—both past and future—for the federation. Additionally, the conference honored outstanding committee members and science & technology professionals from the federation's first term, among whom Dr. Lei Yan, R&D Director at DDC, was proudly recognized.
Dr. Lei Yan currently serves as the R&D Director at DDC. She holds a PhD from Dankook University in South Korea, was an advanced scholar at Cornell University in the United States, and is a member of the National Technical Committee on Feed Industry Standards. Dr. Yan is also an invited expert to present at the Women Scientists Forum during the 11th World Livestock Congress. She is the editor-in-chief of the "DDC Annual Research Report," a member of the editorial board for "Practical Feed Flavoring Science," and a key member of the national standard drafting and revision team for feed flavorings, feed sweeteners, and feed acidifiers. To date, she has published 10 academic papers, including 7 indexed in SCI journals, and boasts extensive experience in the research, development, and application of animal feed intake regulation technologies.
The Chengdu Association of Outstanding Young Scientists and Engineers is jointly formed by Chengdu's distinguished young science and technology professionals. Its mission is to create a platform for young science and technology professionals across the city, fostering their growth through organizing academic exchanges, science and technology salons, providing funding for participation in international conferences, and recommending outstanding talents. Additionally, the association promotes the transfer of scientific and technological achievements, assists in taking over government functions, and delivers services to society—ultimately empowering young scientists and engineers to contribute meaningfully to both their fields and the broader community. Moreover, the association undertakes government-sponsored research projects and provides advisory support to government agencies, encouraging young innovators to actively voice their insights and ideas in shaping policy decisions.
