In the blink of an eye, it’s already been ten years since I joined Dadi Company. Over these past decade, I’ve bid farewell to the youthful innocence and vibrancy of my twenties, blossoming instead into the mature elegance of my thirties. Yet, it’s not just the passage of time that has shaped this transformative journey—these ten years, with all their joys, sorrows, and everything in between, have also woven together the most beautiful and unforgettable chapters of my youth. Looking back now, I’m filled with countless emotions—but above all, gratitude and appreciation. My decade at Dadi has left an indelible mark on my personal growth, adding a vibrant stroke to the canvas of my life. And though time may pass, I’ll cherish this invaluable treasure forever!

The renowned Korean author Nam In-sook once said: "Your twenties determine a woman's entire life—choices about your career, marriage, and family will shape the path ahead." For me, this holds true as well. Back in 2003, I serendipitously met Da Di. Over the past nine years of our journey together, we’ve come to know and cherish each other, growing side by side. Here, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude: Thank you, Da Di, for giving me this incredible opportunity to let the blossoms of my youth flourish passionately on your fertile ground. Thank you for providing me with a platform and countless chances to grow, enabling me to transform from an ordinary technical service professional into a vice president overseeing management, marketing, planning, and technical services. And most importantly, thank you for nurturing my passion and dedication, helping me pursue—and eventually achieve—a Ph.D. in animal nutrition after earning my master’s degree. There are simply too many people and moments to thank individually, but let me take this moment to solemnly say: Da Di, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve been the cradle of my growth. Without your unwavering support and guidance, there would be no butterfly emerging today from the cocoon of my potential!

Recalling the years of growth, I lift the curtain of memory, and scene after scene begins to unfold in my mind…

Hometown landscapes—The starting point of my growth

"The mountain need not be high; with a sage, it becomes divine. The water need not be deep; with a dragon, it gains its spirit. Such is this humble abode—yet it shines because of my virtuous character,"—this phrase has profoundly influenced me since childhood. I was born in a relatively remote mountainous region of Sichuan. Though my hometown was rather underdeveloped when I was young, daily life there was marked by challenges: transportation relied on walking, communication depended on shouting, public safety depended on loyal dogs, and staying warm meant shivering through the cold. Yet, despite these hardships, the villagers were warm-hearted and welcoming, with a simple, genuine way of life. Surrounded by lush, emerald-green mountains that seemed to rise like towering screens, crystal-clear rivers winding through serene landscapes, and crisp, fresh air filling the valleys, our village nestled gracefully between hills and waters, embraced by verdant trees—a setting so breathtakingly beautiful. The very barriers posed by those towering mountains, coupled with the logistical difficulties and economic stagnation of the region, never confined my mind. On the contrary, perhaps it was precisely the spiritual energy of these natural wonders that nurtured within me an innate inclination toward simplicity, authenticity, and an unyielding determination to overcome any obstacle. As a result, excelling academically became one of my greatest strengths. My parents, though humble rural folks themselves, always encouraged me with their heartfelt words: "It's always better to read more books." This modest yet profound advice has remained my unwavering source of motivation throughout my schooling—and indeed, I’m proud to say that I’ve become the first college graduate and even the first postgraduate from our village, and later from our entire township. It was during my graduate studies that I first connected deeply with the livestock industry, a bond that would eventually pave the way for my lifelong association with Dadi Group…

Becoming Connected with the Great Emperor: The Path of Transformation

In 2002, after successfully earning my master’s degree in Animal Nutrition—a nationally recognized key discipline at Sichuan Agricultural University—I landed my first job as a technical formulator at Henan Shangdu Group. It was through my work that I first met Ms. Li Xiaobing, the general manager of Dadi Company. Although we didn’t have any business dealings at the time, after several meaningful conversations and exchanges, I was deeply impressed by Manager Li’s remarkable personal charm. Her life values, work philosophy, and genuine warmth toward friends all served as inspiring examples for me to follow. Since then, ever since I first knew her, Manager Li has always cared for me like a younger sister, and I’ve always regarded her as both my elder sister and my mentor.

In 2003, driven by my deep affection for Sichuan and my desire to return there for work, I shared my plans with General Manager Li. To my delight, she warmly invited me to join Dadi. Moved by her genuine sincerity and down-to-earth personality, I made the bold decision to become part of the Dadi team. It was also in 2003 that the company specially established a brand-new department for me—the Technical Services Division—primarily tasked with promoting product applications and building a robust platform for communicating market demand insights.

In 2005, the company offered to give me time and funding to pursue a PhD in Animal Nutrition at Sichuan Agricultural University. At that time, I was actually hesitant about embarking on doctoral studies—having already experienced firsthand during my graduate years just how true Mr. Yang Feng’s famous remark really was: "If you don’t feel like you’re descending into hell while working at the Institute of Nutrition, chances are you won’t even make it to graduation." I’d also witnessed firsthand the immense effort and sheer hardship many PhD students endure. Yet, a single sentence from General Manager Li ultimately convinced me: "Those who have the means should definitely read more—learning knows no bounds. Take our Chairman, for instance; even now, he hasn’t given up on studying—he’s still pursuing his doctorate at Sichuan University!" Indeed, our Chairman has everything he could possibly want—so why would he choose to keep learning? In fact, it’s nothing less than a lifelong pursuit of personal growth and fulfillment! As for me, being so young and blessed with such excellent conditions and opportunities, what reason could there possibly be for me to hesitate or shrink back? After much internal struggle, my mindset completely shifted—I realized this was an extraordinary chance I simply couldn’t afford to miss. Of course, seizing this opportunity would mean both personal and corporate sacrifices. So, after sharing my concerns and thoughts with HR Manager Wan, she reassured me firmly: "Since the company has committed to nurturing its employees, we’ll wholeheartedly support you and honor our promise. You can rest assured and focus entirely on your studies." In reality, to ensure my smooth progress toward the PhD, the company granted me flexible working hours, prioritizing my academic pursuits above all else. Moreover, throughout my doctoral journey, even amidst her own busy schedule, our Chairman personally made time to help me gather critical research materials and provided invaluable guidance on my experimental designs. And when I hit a crucial turning point in my studies, though the General Manager was incredibly occupied with countless responsibilities, she still found ways to personally visit Yaan to cheer me on and offer her unwavering encouragement.

Of course, the experience of pursuing my doctoral degree has been an invaluable asset to me personally. I’ve truly come to understand that persistence leads to success, and I’ve also discovered the warmth and joy that follow even the toughest challenges. Through the selfless support of my teachers, classmates, colleagues, and friends, I’ve learned that everyone in society has a responsibility to contribute to the greater good. The process of learning has further strengthened my resolve—now, working overtime at the company until 8 or 9 p.m. after my regular workday has become almost routine. As a woman in the workplace, I not only juggle my daily job responsibilities but also fulfill multiple roles: wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and daughter. I constantly switch among these roles, striving to give my best in each one. Yet, of course, human energy is always limited. There have been countless moments when I felt like giving up—but the encouragement from my company leaders and family members has kept me going. After five years of dedicated effort, by the end of 2010, I successfully completed China’s first doctoral dissertation on feed flavoring agents: "The Effects of Feed Flavorants on Swine Feeding Intake and Behavior, and Their Underlying Mechanisms." The thesis was then flawlessly defended.

At the end of 2009, I was fortunate enough to be promoted by the company to the position of Deputy General Manager, overseeing marketing, planning, and technical services. This role presented me with significant challenges and immense pressure—especially since I had zero prior management experience yet was expected to take on substantial leadership responsibilities. On top of that, I was tasked with leading a team of elite professionals who were tirelessly pushing forward on the front lines of the market. There were moments when I seriously considered stepping back, but thanks to the overwhelming support and guidance from our esteemed company leaders, as well as the unwavering trust and encouragement from the entire team, I’ve managed to rise to the occasion. Thanks to everyone’s united collaboration and my own relentless efforts, our marketing team has now evolved into a highly capable, dynamic, and battle-tested elite group. Over the past two years, we’ve consistently achieved record-breaking sales performance. The road ahead is long and arduous, but I remain determined to keep striving forward. I firmly believe that as I continue growing alongside this remarkable organization, my future will only become brighter—and who knows? Maybe one day, I’ll soar even higher than I ever imagined.

Great Empire Culture – Women Equal Men

The love for beauty is inherent in everyone—stories of "dipping fish and causing geese to fall," or "closing the moon and shaming flowers," perfectly capture the essence of ancient China's four legendary beauties. Among the Great Emperor's criteria for hiring talent, one stands out: under the premise of both virtue and capability, beauty takes precedence. That’s why, to colleagues and outsiders alike, the Great Emperor seems to be awash with stunning women. First and foremost, we have Li Xiaobing, a trailblazing leader who proves that women can indeed match—and even surpass—their male counterparts. Leading our team of female managers, she works tirelessly day and night, pouring her heart into every task with dedication, integrity, and open-mindedness. It’s no exaggeration to say that she has single-handedly crafted the remarkable success story of China’s feed flavoring industry. As a result, she naturally earns the title of our company’s most beautiful and accomplished leader. Under General Manager Li’s guidance, I’ve also stepped boldly into the spotlight, frequently traveling to industry conferences and spending countless hours engaging directly with customers on the front lines. Perhaps because of this, people outside the company often perceive the Great Emperor as a place brimming with attractive women. And honestly, though business trips can be exhausting, they offer invaluable opportunities to connect with some of the industry’s brightest minds. Through these interactions, I’ve not only absorbed their exceptional qualities but also broadened my own horizons in ways I never imagined. I’m deeply grateful for every friend I’ve met along life’s journey, as each encounter has helped me grow and improve continuously. And special thanks go to the Great Emperor—for providing me with the perfect professional platform where I could thrive. Over the past decade, starting as someone rooted in technical service, I’ve evolved from resolving individual customer complaints to actively competing at the very forefront of the sales market. Even amid nearly 100 days of annual travel, I’ve remained committed to nurturing the delicate balance between our company and its clients, bridging the gap between products and markets, and harmonizing technology with commercial needs. In doing so, I’ve become a true ambassador of our company’s innovations, deepening customers’ understanding of both our products and our cutting-edge technologies. Ultimately, this has not only strengthened our business partnerships but also forged lasting bonds of trust and mutual respect.

From the perspective of my personal growth journey, Dadi not only nurtured me but also helped me grow stronger. As a rural girl who came from the mountains, I consider myself incredibly fortunate. While talented horses may be common, true mentors like you are rare indeed. I’m deeply grateful to Li Zong, the "Bo Le" in my life, and thankful for the inspiring platform that is the Dadi stage. This year, Dadi celebrates its 20th anniversary, and with my hands clasped in prayer, I offer my warmest wishes: May the company continue to thrive and flourish, and may I, too, keep growing alongside Dadi—so together we can soar even higher on our shared path ahead!
