Growing up alongside the Great Emperor

　　In August 2003, my friend and I left the first job we’d landed together after graduation—a company where we’d worked for two years. It was at this very place that I once spent an entire week riding my motorcycle through heavy snowfall, crisscrossing three provinces. That year marked a pivotal moment in my life. After working there for two years, I suddenly felt lost and unsure of my next steps. That cross-country motorcycle journey was, in fact, my deliberate attempt to push myself to the limit—though I did slip and even shed a tear along the way—to see if I could stay committed and test the strength of my determination. Looking back, my state of mind during that trip felt much like how many people today feel after cycling the legendary Sichuan-Tibet Highway—like a profound cleansing and rebirth of their own lives. After quitting that job and sinking into a two-month period of self-doubt upon returning to Chengdu, I finally came to realize that work was, after all, the true driving force behind my existence. And so, in October of that year, I applied and landed a position as an ordinary sales representative at Chengdu Dadi Feed Co., Ltd.

　　Time flies by in the blink of an eye—before I knew it, I’ve already spent over eight years growing alongside the company. For me, this journey has been an invaluable treasure in life, as during this period, Dadi not only provided me with a vast, open horizon, helping me—a person still lacking in both social and professional experience—to steadily mature, but also enabled Dadi itself to evolve into an outstanding enterprise that now ranks among the global leaders in the feed additive market.

　　Sometimes, I pause to look back on the more than eight years I’ve walked through— and can’t help but marvel at how much has changed. So many things from the past have already transformed beyond recognition, especially in terms of my thoughts and understanding, which have grown significantly. As the elders often say: "What you sow in your youth is what you’ll reap in your old age." I feel that every single employee at our Great Emperor Company is like a seed—once planted in the company’s fertile soil, it will surely thrive with vitality. After all, a seed cannot grow without the nourishment provided by that rich earth. And this thriving soil flourishes precisely because the seeds haven’t let its efforts go to waste—they’ve repaid it wholeheartedly with their own growth. This leads us to reflect: What have *you* planted within the company? Only when you commit yourself fully to nurturing your own development will the company be able to reward you in return. If you’re willing to embrace the responsibility for your own growth, then you’ve earned the right—and the opportunity—to flourish.

　　If we say that a company is a condensed society, it’s perhaps more accurate to view it as a stage where you showcase your life—where everyone plays their own unique role. Perhaps in the previous act, you were merely part of the background; but with persistent effort, you can rise to become a small supporting character in the next scene. Though it may feel like just a tiny step forward, even this brief moment on stage is incredibly valuable. Yet in today’s highly visible world, even that fleeting glimpse is already under the watchful eyes of others. That’s why we must keep striving relentlessly—if only to inch closer to the spotlight, ultimately transforming from a supporting player into the leading role.

And as I’ve poured myself into this journey, I’ve unexpectedly witnessed some of the most beautiful moments of my youth: from stepping into the company in my twenties to now, well into my thirties.
